Etude House Be Clear Moisturizer Review

This is a review  for Etude House's Be Clear Moisturizer. The "Be Clear" line has four products including:
  • a cleansing foam
  • a toner
  • a moisturizer
  • a sheet mask
Originally I thought "be clear" meant preventing breakouts, but it is a "whitening" line, meaning that it helps lighten dark spots and discoloration.

The box along side the container of product.

The side of the container, telling the brightening complexes within the formula.

English blurb about how effective the product is, and including directions.

Ingredients list in English.

Product is a thick white cream with the consistency of sunscreen.

A little difficult to blend into the skin, further rubbing in will allow it to soak into the skin.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5
Pros: I have oily skin and the level of moisture in the product is perfect for that, those with dry skin will want to steer clear of this product as it doesn't provide much moisture. The high SPF is always great when you live in a sunny area, this product does a good job at controlling oil and as a base for makeup. The smell of the product is light and pleasant, and the packaging is adorable. I don't know about the "whitening" properties because I haven't used it that long and also I use many products for my hyperpigmentation and acne marks so its impossible to pinpoint the cause exactly.

Cons: This product takes a bit of work to blend in, initially I was having problems with the product getting caught in my eyebrows and leaving them white-ish. Now I avoid getting the product there. This product leaves a whitecast not only in pictures but in real life too, so I personally won't wear it without foundation or bb cream over it. Those with lighter skin than may be able to get away with it though.

Would I repurchase?
I would repurchase, this is a good daytime moisturizer for me.

Korean Skin Care Review, Skinfood, Tony Moly

These next few reviews are based on some samples that I  received. Since I have so many samples I figured it would be great to review these products so that others can hear my opinions on these as well.

Skinfood Egg White Pore Foam

Skinfood's Facial Water Vita-C (Cream)

Tony Moly's Fresh Aqua Tear Drop Toner and Emulsion

Above is the Facial Water Vita-C on my hand. You can tell the consistency is of a gel type and it absorbs easily into my skin.

Above is the Egg White Pore Foam on my hand, as you can see it lathers rather well.

My Thoughts:
Egg White Pore Foam: I love this product, if I didn't already have to many facial cleansers to work through I would purchase this. It leaves my skin very clean without stripping it too heavily. It foams easily and with minimal product so just the sample lasted a long time. As far as my pores are concerned I did not notice them minimized but that doesn't ruin the product for me!

For more info on this product: http://eng.theskinfood.com/products/product.asp?prdNo=83-8
Retail Price in Korea for full size: 8,000 won

Skinfood's Facial Water Vita-C (Cream):I don't know why this is labeled a cream when it is clearly a gel consistency. I have oily/combination skin so I used this product solely at night. It absorbed into my skin rather easily but it didn't wow me that much. I have also used the Ganier Gel-Cream and would consider that a comparable alternative to ordering this product over the internet.

Retail Price in Korea for full size: 10,800 won

Tony Moly's Fresh Aqua Tear Drop Toner and Emulsion: I really liked this product, the toner left my skin feeling refreshed and balanced. The emulsion was a runnier texture than I'm used to for Korean emulsions but I found that it worked well with my skin type (oily/combination) I would purchase this in full size but again I have too many products to work through right now T_T

Retail Price in Korea for full size: can't find it on the tony moly site, but id assume around 13,000 won

Etude House Wonderpore Freshner Review!

This review is for Etude House's Wonder Pore Freshner. This is a toner that is part of their "wonder pore" line which is meant to reduce pore size and overall help with sebum production.
The line also includes:
  •  a scrubbing brush
  • "modeling clear" (a thick clay peel off mask)
  •  a normal pore clay mask
  •  soda capsules that you drop in water and can use as toner.

What I purchased was the 500 ml bottle of the toner. It also comes in a 250 ml size.

The 500 ml bottle come with a pump dispenser which is very convenient and no-fuss. It reminds me of the bottles used at nail salons. It's easily controllable unlike turning a toner bottle over, unfortunately the 250 ml bottle lacks this convenient pump.

On the packaging Etude House clearly labels the 7 claims of this product. These claims are found throughout the wonder pore line, so ideally you would be using all of these products together.

On the back of the container, I thought this was cute.

The list of ingredients in both English and Korean.

Rating: 4 out of 5!!
I do really enjoy this product. About my skin type I have oily/combination skin and I live in a humid climate. As far as controlling sebum, this product does not hamper my oil production at all, I produce oil at the same exact rate. Even when I don't put on makeup I will oil up.

What I do enjoy about this product is that it does clean out my pores very well, I have not had any issues with black heads as I've used this. I find that it does balance my face out, for instance when I use a face wash that strips my skin, this product will put just enough moisture back into my face that it doesn't feel tight. It preps my skin very well for moisturizer which I always apply afterward.

The scent is barely detectable by me, just a faint alcohol scent which is the third ingredient. I think this will be a good toner for all skin types, unless you're adverse to using products with alcohol in it. The second ingredient is an extract that in cream form is used to teach rosacea which means it is quite soothing.

Would I repurchase? Yes, in a heartbeat, it has become my favorite toner!!

Etude House Juicy Cocktail Gradation Review (Love Violet)

So heres my first review for the products I purchased from gmarket. This is the Juicy Cocktail Gradation Nails in #3 Love Violet. I heard many good things about Etude House nail polishes, so I thought this was a good way to test them out since you get 3 colors in one box!

These sets come in 6 colors total:
#1 Screwdriver (orange)
#2 Kiss of Fire (light pink/coral)
#3 Love Violet (purple)
#4 Mint Frappe (mint/teal)
#5 Princess Marry (coral/gold)
#6 Angel's Kiss (silver)

Colors from left to right:
#1 (base) soft purple, #2 (middle) romantic purple, #3 (top) mystery purple

The brush is a standard size and work really well to get an even coat.

English instructions as to how to apply the product.

Korean instructions and guide photos.

The products on my nails.

Rating: 5 out of 5!!
I love this set, as far as the wear time is concerned they last a fairly long time on my nails. After about a week there are chips on my right hand which always chips first. I love the way the colors turned out on my nails, and they dried pretty quickly so there wasn't an issue with messing up the designs.

Would I repurchase? Of Course! I absolutely loved these and am looking at the different colors to figure out which one I will purchase next.

I purchased this via gmarket for 5400won but they of course are available via ebay and other sites. The regular price for this product is around $5.61 so keep that in mind when looking for a place to purchase it from.

Gmarket Haul (Innisfree & The Face Shop) Haul Part 3!

On to the final part of my Gmarket haul which will consist of Innisfree and The Face Shop items. The whole reason I begun this large hauk is because I wanted to restick on sheet masks and on ebay they are double and triple the price then when you buy them from Korea. For the last time I will be reviewing all of these items, save for the sheet masks, (honestly they are all the same). But if you would like me to review something quicker be sure to let me know!! For all of these items via snail mail, they cost $30 to ship which is insanely cheap considering it wouldve probably cost over $100 to ship via EMS, which is the service Gmarket uses.

Gmarket Haul Part 2 (Holika Holika & Nature Republic)

So the next part of my haul from Gmarket is going to consist of the products I've purchased from Holika Holika and Nature Republic, there is only one more part after this (finally!). So the rest of the products I've purchased are contained there. I believe Holika Holika ships internationally from Gmarket while Nature Republic does not, so you may have to order the NR products via ebay or another site. The Holika Holika items I got for 30% off while only one of the NR things was on sale.

Again I'm planning on reviewing all of these products, but if theres something you would like to see first be sure to comment and request it!!
