Glossybox Japan October 2014

Well I decided to go through the products I've gotten in my Glossyboxes over the past few months. I've used a couple of the items but overall I still have most of them. Below is what I received in my first box which was the October 2014 box. The trend I've noticed with Glossybox Japan is that they will only include one fullsize product with your order. With Glossybox in America there are generally bigger samples given.

The overall feeling of the box.

The best part of this box was these masks [Utena- Premium Puresa Golden Gelee], which were also the full size product of this box. They came in a set of three which is what is available at the drugstores. The price for this item is 700 yen ($5.88). I loved this mask and I feel as though I have to savor the remaining two even though I can repurchase them whenever. Rather than being soaked in a liquid essence, these are soaked in a jelly type serum. There are two versions, a hyaluronic acid one and a collagen, I have the former here.

A closeup of the jelly serum, I saved the remains and am using them as a serum at night. Also, the smell of this I find to be absolutely wonderful.

Next up were these sample of Helena Rubenstein products. I have yet to try these, the hefty pricetag has kinda put me off of it.

This is the Life Pearl Cellular Cream. This sample is 4.8g of product while the full size is 48.5g, so I have a tenth of the product here. The price of this is an astounding 45,000 yen ($377.71). For that price I better be indistinguishable from a baby it makes my skin look so young.

This is the Life Pearl Cellular Serum. I have a 5ml sample while the full size is 40ml. Just as I thought it couldn't get any worse, the full size of this product is 50,000 yen ($419.68).

Next up are hair products by the brand XY9, which apparently is pronounced like "Shi-nine." What I have here is the body and hair oil. The sample also came with shampoo and conditioner samples which I have already used. I really like the shampoo and conditioner and I'm willing to purchase them once I get through what I have. They left my hair very soft and nice. This oil I have yet to try but I just decanted them into a container and plan on mixing it in with my body lotion. The full size prices are as follows shampoo 1900 yen ($15.95), conditioner 1900 yen ($15.95) and the oil 3900 yen ($32.74).

Next up is a Bareminerals sample of their Ready Foundation SPF25 PA++. This would be lovely to try out if it fit my skintone, but since I'm a MAC NC42 I wouldn't expect it to. Even as an under-eye highlight it's too light. Oh well. This has 3g of product and the full size is 4,000 yen ($33.57).

The last item in my box was used up so here is this nice stock photo of it. I received a 50g satchel of Beaute de Sac's bath salts. This was good for one bath and it was an enjoyable one, turned the water pink and left my skin soft. It had a nice floral scent. The full size product is 3,400 yen ($28.54) for 630g of product.
